Lora Clare Payne
Director
In February 2018 I founded LCVA Services. The business was once just me, my laptop and my mobile phone but within the first 12 months the business grew incredibly. We were shortlisted for 4 awards and we now have a growing team of associates. I am a mum of one with a passion for business development and improvement.
Here are 3 fun facts about me:
- I grew up in the Merthyr valley but now live in the Vale of Glamorgan (which you will realise when you hear my awful accent!)
- I love animals, I would have a zoo if I could, but I have a fear of the 3 S’s (Spiders, snakes and sharks)
- I love to travel and cannot wait to discover more of the world!
Marianne Halstead
Business Manager
After following the journey of LCVA since it was created by Lora in 2018, I joined the team at the end of 2021. I love being organised and working with people to help bring order and take the strain off busy businesses and lives. I have a background in Financial Services, People Management, Bookkeeping, and Business Development. I am a very proud mum of 2, living in the Vale of Glamorgan, and love the flexibility of life with LCVA.
3 fun facts about me:
- Following on from Saskia’s profile, apparently my name means ‘bitter’, a fact that my family take great pleasure in bringing up at every opportunity!
- My most embarrassing moment was falling over during the Mum’s race at sports day (no it wasn’t my bottom that went viral in 2022!), this was later made worse by my son telling everyone that I ‘dived for the line’
- I love spending time at the beach and water sports, life really is better in flip flops

Account Executive
I am new to the LCVA team, I joined in April 2023 as an Accounts Executive, and am really enjoying the job, I absolutely love the work-life balance and flexibility of the role. I have a passion for all things English, I can spot a spelling mistake a mile off! I live in Barry with my husband, 2 teenage daughters and my 3yr old Cavapoochon called Lola, who is crazy, she thinks she is a rottweiler but she is the total opposite!
3 Fun facts about me:
- I love reading! I own well over 100 books but cannot bring myself to get rid once I have read them. They take up so much room in my house, much to my husband’s dismay!!
- I am a very fussy eater. I will only eat chicken and fish (no lamb or pork chops here!) and I HATE dairy products – cheese is the devils food!
- I am right-handed, but use my left hand to do certain tasks, like ironing and polishing!

I first heard about LCVA through an insight opportunity advertised in Cardiff University. I was in the third year of my degree and decided to apply to the internship to gain some experience. I’ve learnt so many valuable lessons about marketing and social media, and I love being creative when designing posts, writing blogs, or creating newsletters. Through LCVA, I have been encouraged to apply for a Masters in Digital Media, which I will be studying next year!
3 fun facts about me:
- I love exploring new places with my friends - we are determined to try out every restaurant and bar in Cardiff before we finish our degrees!
- I love watching thriller movies - as part of my degree I am writing my own thriller screenplay which gives me an excuse to watch a lot of scary movies!
- My favourite food is cawl (a traditional Welsh dish) - I would have a bowl of it every day if I could!
